Ndendahe Band Chiricahua Apache Tribe The Ndendahe, meaning 'Enemy People', 'People who make trouble', or 'Bronco Apaches' to the Mexicans. are a band of the Chiricahua Apache Tribe who live in New Austin. The Chiricahua Apache are a warrior tribe, who were spread out upon the Great Plains, New Austin and Mexico. Tales are told of the Chiricahua's near mystical abilities to live off the land, even able to survive off cacti alone, once they had run out of food. They are hard to track down, hard to escape from and even harder to kill. These Western Apache are made up of several bands and were given the name 'Chiricahua' for their tribe by the Spanish, in reference to the Chiricahua Mountains of Arizona. As more and more American settlers encroached upon their homeland, the Chiricahua began to grow more hostile against outsiders and even their Mexican neighbors. The hostilities turned to open war and conflict with the ferocious Comanche and Kiowa alliance eventually resulted in the Chiricahua being pushed closer to the Mexican border. Subsequently, the Chiricahua became masters of traversing and surviving in the deserts and cliffs. The year is 1876, the United States government have begun forcing Chiricahua Apache onto reservations following the retirement and death of Cochise. Other Chiricahua bands continued to war with the military and terrorize settlers, lead by figures such as Victorio of the Tchihende, utilizing the aid of the Mimbreños, the Bedonkohe and the Ndendahe. Efforts to pacify the Chiricahua by the United States government and confine them to a reservation were futile, as they had become more adapted to the lands they were forced onto compared to the armies of the white settlers. The rebellious bands began carrying out brutal raids across the land to carve out a home for themselves where they could continue living with their traditions and ways of life. A young, ambitious Chief oversees the Ndendahe there, who are mostly of blood relation. The band is family orientated, as they work together to survive and provide for each other, with the hope of preserving their way of life. Haunted by the loss of Cochise, the torture and murder of Mangas Colaradas ten years prior and the atrocities of war, these Apache are unkind to strangers and wish to be left to live with their traditions. Secrecy shrouds the intricacies of their ways, due to the threat of being forced onto the reservation dubbed "Hell's Forty Acres". OOC: We wish to portray a band of the Chiricahua Apache Tribe in New Austin. This faction will revolve around roleplaying survival with the odds against you. We will have a strong emphasis on character development, community and being a benefit to the server. Whilst this faction is portraying a hostile group located in a lawless land, we seek members who are here to create meaningful roleplay and stories.21 points

Swamp Front Property A small group of Acadian Creoles left their home of Louisiana in search of new opportunities elsewhere. Ultimately, they settled within Lemoyne, a region familiar enough to their roots and home to many individuals that share their cultural background. Rex Robichaux, self-proclaimed King of Kings and de facto leader of their small group, has taken it upon himself to ensure his commune's survival and integrity without sacrificing the core of their ideals that brought them this far west to begin with. Together with Reece Boudreaux, Lisette Rousseaux, and Louis Breaux, the four Cajuns secured a foot hold in Lagras and the surrounding swamp, claiming ownership of the land while simultaneously extending a warm welcome and a hot meal to any weary travelers passing through their humble village... ...As long as the sun still shined.17 points

“Don't put your trust in revolutions. They always come around again. That's why they're called revolutions.” Despite that the histories remember the wars, it's oftentimes the smallest of secret deeds that turn the tides. Appointed by a partisan power, a band of exiles cross the American threshold to undermine its liberties for The Cause. Pitted against frontier justice and the United States' manifest for its capitalist dominion, los partisanos find themselves firmly rooted in the boomtown of Armadillo to serve its people with Mexican hospitality and leech from the liberties of America both.14 points

Detailed description: 1. As it stands currently, the camp locations can be seen as long as you are within some distance away from it. This suggestion here is to either reduce the size of the white cloud around the camp, or disable it and the camp blip in its entirety. Only those invited to the camp/clan should be able to see the map marker. At the moment anyone can tell a camp's location without even looking at it. 2. The cash amount required to move the camp is way too steep for something that isn't supposed to be placed down permanently. Why would you pay 50 dollars just to pack up your things and move them to another location? Sure, the economy is inflated as it is, but now people don't even bother to put in 50 dollars because it's just too steep just to move your camp around. You could get absolutely anything else with 50 dollars. Not to mention the camp tax. My suggestion is that the movement tax should be halved, the least. It would encourage players to be on the move constantly, their camp included. I haven't seen any records of people staying for extended periods of time in the wilderness, their camp in the exact same location. Permanent settlements aside. 3. The current camp flag is rather silly looking, and the lantern attached to it can be seen from a mile away at night. The lantern is lit at all times, which makes no sense. Why would you leave the lights on if you are not home? So here's a suggestion for the alternative; Use this model list https://rdr2.mooshe.tv/ when implementing the new camp object. It shouldn't be a non-realistic looking object from Red Dead Online. It should be a camp object, similar to a box or whatever. Maybe even a tent or unlit camp fire? Not all of the camp fires get lit at night times. Even this looks already so much better; 4. You are able to join just one clan/camp currently. Would be nice to be able to join up to two or three clans, the original included. For example you want to use your gang's own camp box but you are unable to because you already own a personal one. This makes absolutely no sense. Sure, your own house storage etc. are options but not everyone have access to these, nor they want to as it does not fit their roleplay to own such things. Commands/items to implement: Developer issue,. none as of now. Benefits of adding: Reduced metagame, people are more prone to move camps as the price is reduced. The new property rules also state that you aren't allowed to claim houses with camps anymore, so they are now more used when moving around. Encourages people to use camps more!!! Maybe even the ones mapped by Rockstar, who knows?12 points

The American Wake of Thomas and Ginny Finnegan With a life in Ireland for the average peasant in the 19th century being a treacherous one, it comes as no wonder so many impoverished people heard promise in America and spent all they could on a cheap, dangerous fare across the Atlantic in the dank bowels of your average lumber ship in hopes of a brighter, less hungry life. While more affluent travellers would celebrate their loved ones away to the frontier, rural families instead would mourn for them; they knew that they would never again have the money to return home to Erin's Isle. The American Wake, therefore, was a strange kind of goodbye—for the person being waked was grieved still alive. This thread will follow a brother and sister from Ulster landed in Saint Denis, leaving its slums for the first time with a suddenly pressing responsibility to make money to send home to their family in the wake of their father's untimely death... 4th January 1876 I write you my Bonnie Children with the heaviest harte to say that your Sweete Father is dead. His condition became abruptly worse in the nyght and no amount of hope nor prayer to God were enough to help him to recover and he passed away this morning in his sleep with Patrick, Mary and I by his side at home where he belonged. He loved you so terribly and was proud as Punch to all the town around about your Great Journey. If you feel now less alone over there know that it is your good Father come to share in your pritty American spoils. He had gotten to saving but had not saved enough so I fear now what money he made down the ships will have to become our means to get by til you both can bring us west to join you. I eagerly await that day now more than ever. Ma.11 points

Detailed description: Add a mask ID over your name when you use any kind of mask (/bandana - /mask) or simply have it work like /hidename. Commands/items to implement: It could be It's own command to /maskname or even a separate item. RedM is finnecky so It's up to the developers on how they would plan on implementing it. Benefits of adding: This is a very much needed feature and will help avoid metagame. It was approved on the old forums but the forums has since changed, I'm asking for it to be put forward again and possibly implemented. Bandanas/Masks at the moment are pointless because people just metagame a name above your head and somehow recognize voices. I and many others have ran into the same situation far too often and I feel like It would be beneficial for everyone to have this implemented.11 points

Pronghorn Ranch A massive property in the shadow of Mount Shann and bordering the idyllic fields along the Little Creek River, Pronghorn Ranch provides its residents and visitors an escape from fast-paced town life and the rapid encroachment of modernity. Its inhabitants are, by-and-large, people who sought an escape from the huddled towns or bustling cities, favoring a pastoral and honest-working day-to-day. While the remote wilderness offers its own dangers, the freedom it grants to its residents is well worth the cost. Wary of outsiders, but welcoming to anyone without ill-intent, the inhabitants of Pronghorn Ranch are a tight-knit group of friends who eke out a living in northern West Elizabeth. While the first to settle on the ranch were a few friends escaping the troubles of Valentine, the ranch has since welcomed more ranchhands and residents. Together, they provide the communities in West Elizabeth with fresh dairy and produce, and seek to expand their venture to build a more comfortable life for themselves.11 points

I have to disagree with some of what this guide's saying, I personally don't see a reason someone can't make their character an 'outlaw' from the get-go. They could be from another state, or simply not have a bounty on them as of yet, while a much more fulfilling story could be gained by starting off small, I don't think every person that wants to play an outlaw should be forced to do that. Obviously some things are blocked by needing admin permission anyway so they couldn't just spawn in and do a train robbery for instance. I personally like playing one life bandits that get into some mischief before ultimately CKing. Now, if being an outlaw is meant to be a bad thing that players shouldn't strive to become as it should be, I think people that have racked up Dead or Alive bounties should be playing on one life rules, where if they're killed by any player they take a CK. I know the rules changed recently regarding CKs around bounties, but in order to add gravitas to outlaw RP, I really do believe they should expect to eventually get killed.11 points

Poverty and wealth are close neighbors in Saint Denis. By 1864, the number of arrests for assault and larceny had more than doubled. Five out of the six arrested were immigrants, mostly minors. Majority of children residing in Saint Denis never attended school, and survived as thieves. Thousands of them were dumped off at orphanages each year, others were simply tossed out in the street to fend for themselves when their parents could not or would not take care of them. These adolescents typically banded with one another and looked over each other’s shoulder. Out of them, two children by the name of Zoey Madison and the now notorious Clyde Pickett, collectively created a band of youngins that committed said crimes. The two parted ways when Pickett fled with lawmen on his tail. Nevertheless, Zoey continued her residence in the Eastern slums of Saint Denis, and recruited men and woman to do her bidding. The wealth flowing into the Saint Denis produced a new breed of professional swindlers, thieves and con artists. Every legitimate new business opportunity offered these men and woman a way to profit: department stores had goods to shoplift, company stocks could be fraudulently issued, and banks had vaults to crack. These bands of crooks modeled themselves after the gentlemen of the growing professional class in America. They were from different races, well dressed in the clothes they stole. They also had professional standards and considered it important to innovate and develop a mastery of the skills of their professions in property crime: pickpocketing, burglary, forgery, and shoplifting, among others. These criminals had a sense of elite professionalism was such that they developed “empathic impressions of” policemen and businessmen, despite having done illicit business with and having worked in opposition to both groups. This thread will follow the development of these men and women. (OOC: This group is a community of people residing in the slums of St. Denis with antagonistic undertones. We welcome a variety of RP, backgrounds, races, and prefer to recruit ICly. You are more than welcome to come RP with our group in the location posted above. https://discord.gg/zB2q7UXwRN Disclaimer The Red Dead Roleplay iteration of this faction will be adapted to be a complete fit for Red Dead: Redemption 2 & Red Dead Roleplay lore as we will be portraying a Private Detective Agency that eventually blooms into a sector of the Pinkerton Detection Agency. All development will be in character and should be somewhat identical to the real life Pinkerton organization. This group is intended to develop into Pinkerton through means of success and purchase and is currently not Pinkerton. If you're looking to spawn as a Pinkerton day 1, this is not for you. Creative freedom, development and a hardcore, yet fun roleplay environment is what we strive to achieve. Also, I would like to make it very clear that I understand that we all have lives and things going on and the only potential obligation is to come online and participate in fun and quality roleplay. If any players are interested in roleplaying with this faction please send a private message to forum name "Pinkerton". Act like an adult here and you will be treated as such. This is a second installment of our first faction on this server that was cut short due to the many politics of the upper echelon of RDRP. Pinkerton “No man of refined sensibilities would enter the ranks as a hired Hessian of plutocracy, expecting to shoot down his brothers at the command of capital.” The Pinkerton National Detective agency historically was an agency developed around 1850 in the United States originally named the North-Western Police Agency. It was headed by a Scottish born male by the name of Allan Pinkerton and a Chicago attorney Edward Rucker. While originally a Chicago bound company, the word 'National' was of immense importance due to the clients of Pinkerton's needs due to the need of a policing force that wasn't to be held to the boundaries or standard of local policing governments, and corruption within the police and sheriff departments itself. It allowed for a force to be created that didn't rely on badges or uniforms. The groups ability to blend into the public made it vital for infiltrating criminal organization. The organization was known for its equal opportunity hiring ethics, as equal as you could've gotten for the time period; and frequently hired minorities and woman as long as they were useful. Pinkerton's were hired by local businesses to help quell local workers strikes and infiltrate unions. They frequently hired bands of local goon squads led by their own agents to intimidate the parties they were paid to oppress. By the time 1860 came around, Pinkerton had about six different contracts from six different large railroad companies. The work with the railroad companies was some of the first of the groups infiltration operations, they were sent to "test" the employees of the railway stations by posing as criminal offenders or offer bribes for particular services. The Pinkerton family were staunch supporters in the abolishment of slavery and participated in the funding of the Underground Railroad. The organization gained notoriety when it foiled a plot to assassinate future president Abraham Lincoln while also performing scouting and espionage against the Confederates during the American Civil War. Lincoln later utilized Pinkerton to form his personal security detail. Post war Pinkerton used the partnerships he created to expand the business exponentially. Pinkerton also investigated railway theft cases, guarded trains and frequently arrested train robbery perpetrators; even solving a $700,000 theft case in 1866. The fame Pinkerton gained through exploits such as protecting Chicago Immigrants, helping free slaves, being the savior of the future President of the United States and even helping with the Jesse James outlaw problem; Pinkerton was able to put itself in a position where the company was tied to the protection of property and capital. This eventually turned the publics opinion of the organization as they were already known to be a private police force in the pockets of the highest bidder, not the people. An anti-union and anti-labor perspective cause by multiple factors, mainly money found Pinkerton becoming the bane of the working class. Quelling local workers strikes and infiltrating unions became standard procedure with the highlight of it all being at the Homestead Strike also known as the Homestead Massacre resulting in the surrender of the Pinkerton force in 1892. The Monroe Private Investigators founded by Horace James Monroe is a private detection agency, whose main source of income comes from governmental grants within its established regions. The Monroe Private Investigators finds itself outsourcing sub-contractors (Employees) to various contractors and clients across the nation. The group specializes in private security, private investigation, bounty hunting, policing railways, railway theft cases that can be traced using a system of checks and balances, as well as apprehending crooks through occasional bounty hunting. However, the company has fallen on hard times due to a recent lack of clients and contracts flowing in, and the organization now finds itself threading the line of criminality within its ranks. This motley crew could be considered amongst the most well read and educated of Victorian era gentlemen and opportunists looking to conduct themselves as armed professionals or the lowest deviants of society looking to play as the man with the suit and gun. The ranks of Monroe Private Investigators are open-ended and resourceful, yet; Does come with its share of unforeseen consequences and potential mishaps. The group attempts to put up the face of law when the current contract calls for it but the mask is transparent. The organization in recent years has fallen on hard times. A one William Bassett, 20 years of age had emigrated to the United States of America with his friend, James Boone. In 1858, after both having worked as detectives in Londons' police department for a few short years felt that it was time for a new horizon. Feeling adventurous, both had decided that the New World had better opportunities, prospects and pay and it was time to see if the stories really were true. Both Bassett and Boone were in search of fortune and fame that laid within the American frontier. After spending ample time on the frontier, they had discovered the perils faced by settlers at the hands of natives and outlaws. When the American Civil War started, the pre-established Bassett Agency was a decently well-known security group on the American frontier and the prospecting settlers and locals usually preferred this agency over any other due to their professionalism and effectiveness. With their high standards and levels of professionalism, they preferred to hire veterans of European and American militaries that happened to emigrate to the United States. This being because of their prior military experience and proven professionalism. By offering a superior service, the Bassett and Boone security agency earned far more than its competitors, and for good reason. While Bassett and Boone never enlisted themselves, their reputation started to perceive them and it wasn't long before well connected Union families recruited their services amongst Union senior officers. Many of these officers being short on manpower were more than happy to bring private security into their ranks; And Bassett and Boone were their first pick of the crop. One general in particular; A Major-General George Henry Thomas, approached the organization and offered them an unusual job. Their request was to employ an espionage role and attempt to gather information on Confederate military operations and their allies amongst the civilian populace. Bassett and Boone were no strangers to the Confederate states and territories as during the summer of 1861, both of them were already spending time establishing themselves along the western frontier. Bassett and Boone went south and proceeded to gather and obtain any intelligence that they could stumble upon. During their escapades Boone was discovered while using the alias "Captain B.C. Reed" and barely escaped with his life. While Bassett whom was not yet discovered, continued to operate within the Confederate states until the end of the war. Bassett and Boone were both decorated for their actions and provided stipends for their efforts during the Civil War. However, most of their activities are still kept secret to this very day. After the war, Boone found himself back home in Lemoyne by the time Bassett finished up with Major General George Henry Thomas. Bassett, finally getting back home at the end of summer, gave Boone a proposition. Bassett suggested to Boone that they both utilize their espionage work into something a bit more profitable. And thus the incorporation of detective and spying work was added onto the Bassett Detective Agency. In an effort to expand in a cost effective manner, a formal merge with Bassett Detective Agency and the rebranding of both organizations to form the South-Western Detective Agency. This duet of private eyes allowed for two spheres of income as opposed to one. The merging of the two brings new methods and techniques to both organizations that all around improved work efficiency and overall outreach two hundred percent. Today In modern days the South-Western Detective Agency fell hard on its face when Horace James Monroe was savagely murdered by the Clyde Pickett gang during an investigation to bring down the infamous outlaw gunslinger. His wife Susan Monroe a former dressmaker took charge of the organization which led to rampant corruption among SWDA's ranks and borderline bankruptcy up until bought out by Pinkerton. Unfortunately the purchase was made after the companies' decline and forfeiture of previous contractual obligations with the state of Lannahechee. Sources Goon Squad. Wikiwand. (n.d.). "Dios lo Bendiga" The Accounts of Leona Sebastiana Salvador Vázquez Born in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico (1848) to a humble butcher and his wife. Leona is one of five children and seven cousins. As the eldest of her siblings, she was prioritized when the prospect of a formal education became obtainable. Surrounded by Catholicism, nuns and humbleness; Leona would often regale her immediate family with what she learnt. The passion for healing others, bolstered by Christ's miracles told in the bible; gave a clear path. It wasn't until 1868 when Leona finally left Mexico, exhausting the available medical education she had access to. With hard earned wealth from assisting her family and limited support from the local church; she set off to Europe to advance her knowledge in the path to become a professional. In 1872, the Third Carlist War had begun. With a keen desire to practice healthcare, Leona signed up as a nurse and performed this duty for three years. Shortly thereafter and before the war had even finished, she returned to Mexico and was recognized formally as a Doctor of Medicine. (Leona Vázquez, 1876 AD)10 points

I think this guide casts a blanket over a lot of folks who don't deserve it. Expecting every outlaw character to be young, and to have their first experience of law-breaking in live RP, rather than having it be shaded into backstory, is extremely limiting. To me, it exudes a distrust in the community at large. If someone makes a character who is fifty years old, and has an intention of portraying that character as an outlaw, would they be expected to have their first run-in with crime at that age? A lot of the points listed ring true to me, but I think the phrasing puts a lot of people in the crossfire. I agree with above.10 points

The ranchhands take a herd of goats for a moonlit hike through the mountains. They don their warmest garments for the alpine journey. I really disagree with the core concept of this opinion piece because it is so needlessly limiting to potential group concepts. As mentioned above, there are plenty of contexts where a criminal could find their way on map with an existing history of banditry in other regions, particularly because of how localized criminal documentation is. Banditry is, and never will be, a solved science. It will always be up and down, but should be allowed to be explored how a player feels appropriate for their portrayal. I feel these statements are endemic of a holdover from GTAW, one that I take great issue with, that is the recurring idea that nothing regarding a character should be validated unless performed on-map, in-game. It reduces people's characters to watered-down interpretations of concepts, unable to add any real meat to the bones of said backstory without some worry that other players may deem your backstory or characterization "invalid" because it didn't occur actively in-game. It's just a bad way of looking at character concepts, legal or illegal. I agree with the two posts above. There's some points to be made, but the message is too inflammatory to be taken seriously.8 points
